Users can "stop" along their virtual journey to watch informational video interviews with various local vendors and farmers, thus imbuing the... Read More
Kasthamandap (AutoCAD).JPG
We intend to make 3D reconstructions of two iconic buildings destroyed in Kathmandu during the 2015 Nepal earthquake. Jessica will be responsible for Dharahara tower, and Emily will be responsible for Kasthamandap temple. This workload is collaborative because we are doing case studies of two closely related sites of lost heritage. We will use AutoCAD and 3dsMax to make the 3D digital models. We also hope to use Z-Space to present our models once completed.

Babylon (AR).png
This project aims at the development of an Augmented Reality app which allows to visualize a 3d model of the great ziggurat Etemenanki on top of an old archaeological map depicting the ruins of Babylon (Iraq). A different app will make Nebuchadnezzar’s stela about the construction of the ziggurat speak, providing an oral translation of the royal inscription as well as highlighting the cuneiform text and the images carved on the stela.
Khorsabad (Oculus Rift)
Visualizing Khorsabad Project produced a Virtual Reality app about the Assyrian citadel of Dur Sharrukin (present Khorsabad, Iraq) with the ideal twofold goal of virtually reunifying the original reliefs and statues spread among several museums, as well as to provide an architectural context for the museums' collections. The app was developed in Unity and allows for a full immersive visualization of the citadel through Oculus Rift head mounted display.
